Subnet Mask
A subnet mask in classless/subnet addressing is a 32-bit
number with netid bits set to 1s and hostid bits set to 0s.
Subnet mask helps the router in the internet to extract the network address from the destination address of a packet.
The network mask used when network is not subnetted, whereas subnet mask is used when network is subnetted.
